We would like to welcome everybody who is interested in playing rugby, whether it be on the social side or playing to win, to come and join us this season. We are pushing hard this year for promotion and our fitness training has already started and takes place every Tuesday and Thursday night at our sports facilities. Training starts at 7p.m sharp and all Senior and Under 19s are more than welcome to join in.

Waterford City got the Club of the Year award as voted by the Munster referee’s association  2010. This is a great award to receive as this is the first time it has been awarded to any club outside Cork County. The award is voted on by all visiting referee’s for hospitality and facilities afforded to referee’s by Waterford City R.F.C.

The club would like to wish out going club captain Dale Ryan the best of luck in his future playing career where ever it may be and would also like to wish new club captain Damien Kennedy and his second in command Jason Power the best of luck this season with their push for promotion this year.

This site will be updated by the coaches themselves and this is a change from past years as all the work was previously done by past club PRO's alone. Updates should come on a weekly basis once the season is in full swing and club contacts will be posted if you wish to play rugby yourself or have a son or daughter that wishes to take up the sport.

Our end of season tour to Canada was a huge success and images and movies will be posted in the Events page in the coming weeks. Waterford City lost one game in terrible weather conditions where cataching the ball was near impossible but won their second game when conditions were favourable to pass the ball and play a full 15 man game. There were sections in the second game that were pure champagne rugby. Well done to all who were involved in the tour.
